    EBMM SUB 1 Questions?

I just bought the SUB 1 with the tremolo...first off man, I am impressed with the quality of this guitar. For the money this guitar blows away the competition...the neck is so fast, it's almost unbelieveable. I got home and played for 4 hours straight.
OK my question is the neck adjustment. I read the faq but I am confused, when the faq says, "turn the nut clockwise to raise the fretboard", what does it mean? When I think of adjustments, I think of bow, straight or hump. Does this imply that a clockwise turn will reduce the bow.
Also, the faq mentions the factory strings for all of the guitars but it doesn't mention the ones for the SUB 1, can anyone tell me please.
When I purchased the guitar, I did not receive the proper allan key, can I get this allan key from somewhere. I also never received any information on warranty. Thanks!

That would be correct sir! It took me a while to figure this out to. Clockwise turn will increase the hump. Counter-clockwise will increase the bow. Do this while FACING the adjustment wheel.

I'm guessing Slinky 9's on these. You should have received the allan key and a warranty registration card. Go back to where you got it and make them give you one. Then , prepare to Rock!

Yep! The first one I got in it took me a few minutes to find the allen key, it was tucked into the top half of the box around the neck (now I know where to look!)

Enjoy the guitar, they are an excellent bang for the buck

I never got the box, I put it right in the case. I called the store and they said next time I came in, they would 'find' me a key but not to worry about the registration card cause I have the receipt...How do I get a hold of this coupon for the free strings...and I know when I get home I will be enjoying my new friend...thanks guys!

Thanks bro, cause I sure as hell couldn't find it...man its wierd but I believe EB guitars and the people who play them share something and that is they are all NICE! I would have said sweet but then that may have been frowned upon. Thanks again!

    Hi Raz

Congrats on your purchase Can you tell me what the sustain is like on it and the quality of the rosewood fretboard?

Someone asked me about the substain over at harmony central, and personally it seemed great, however, I never really put her to the test since I'm all over the guitar like a whore on Bourbon St. But I will try it out tonight and get back to you...as far as the fretboard goes...FAST, VERY Fast...I mean if that's what you mean by quality...smooth as silk...unless there is something else to look for on a fretboard...I'm no pro but I do know a good feel and this baby has the greatest touch ever!

I dislike HC immensely....I usually find that most people that comment on things over there are absolutely clueless about gear for the most part. Otherwise it became a place for people to slam manufacturers....and it's usually over good gear. Like: "My dad bought me this Diezel Herbert and it sounds like crap. It doesn't sound like my solid state Crate amp. It's garbage and I'm unhappy with it....0."

Yeah, that was me on Harmony central too. I saw this thread before I got an answer on Harmony so thought I'd ask again here. Thanks for the replies

By quality I meant is the fretboard rosewood dark or light in colour. Any whiteness in the wood etc.

Whiteness generally isn't the wood itself on a more expensive axe in my experience but whatever waxes or solvents sometimes are used to clean and seal it. A little lemon oil will help clean and revitalize it. On cheap axes some companies die the wood so it appears that in color it's rosewood/ebony etc....My old High School had these cheapass classical guitars that had pine fingerboards that were dyed to look like rosewood....don't ask about how I found out what type of wood it was....hehehe. Then agian I think theres a statute in NY and that was almost 10 years ago....hahaha. El Kaaaa-BONGGGGGG!

Dark, no whiteness and I tried the sustain and like I said its good, I mean it won't go on and on, but I find it good.

"Welcome to the addiction!" is now patented by Koogie2k......if used by anyone other than Koogie2k....you must mail him a US nickel for each time said/typed or signed.......
