    Floyd Rose rattle

I've had my Axis for a month now and it's perfect. I can't stop playing it. My Les Paul actually sounds and feels too chunky now.

But i have one problem. The housing for the Floyd Rose (where the arm meets the baseplate) is loose. It's a used guitar so I don't know what happened to it but I can't seem to tighten the bolt underneath, even after removing the Floyd Rose from the body. Looks like the washer is bent. The tremolo moves smoothly but has a metallic buzz on a few notes.

Any ideas for fixing this? I also wonder in the event that I can't fix it, can i replace the trem with another Floyd Rose? I wouldn't mind being able to remove the arm when I need to slip it in a gig bag and hop on the subway.

It's 6 years old and bought used. Wouldn't this be out of their jurisdiction?

not to tell you how to fix it .they probably wont replace it due to its age. but they may be able to tell you what to do , or help you get the parts if its needed.

I have a question involving the response to this topic. I also got a EBMM used and its about 6-7 years old. I just want to find out what year it is and what pickups it came with when it came out. EBMM customer service can answer all that for me if I provide them a serial #???

post in the sticky thread on the main page that says (Important my ernie balls serial is # )
then give them the serial number off your guitar which will be on the neck plate on the back of the guitar. they will respond with a date of birth for the guitar. if you post what model guiatar it is some of the guys here might be able to tell you waht pickups are in it.

Call or email customer service. If the Floyd needs a part or even to be replaced they are the only ones who can help you with an OEM replacement. You may have to send your guitar in to them or take it to a dealer, but replacemnt parts are available if you go through the right channels... And of course send in the old part. But contact CS and see what they suggest.
