They probably pronounce it "dar-jee dee-lite". But there are worse. Stevie Ray Vo-gan is popular, as is Jamie Roqwai (Jamiroquai), and my favourite is Ho-a-jee Car-mi-cay-el (Hoagy Carmichael).

Thanks for all your good wishes. Starting such a job just before Christmas is hell. We simply can't keep up with orders. Of course I've just arrived, I'm still getting to know people (great crew though) and still learning my way around the warehouse. Merging two companies doesn't help and neither do the guitars that simply don't work or those that need some serious set up before they can be sent out. Any repairs from prior customers are practically on hold, unless they actually come to us guitar in hand. I spend way more time looking for stock before I get work on it, and packing it for shipping after, than I do "at the workbench". I won't name brand names, and a good budget guitar can be great value for money, but never ever buy budget stuff sight unseen!

So I worked a stressed and tiring day and then went directly to play my last gig of the year. It's nearly 1.30am, I'm just home and putting on some food, to get up in the morning and fight the ever growing pile of orders again, which I know will be worse on Thursday. And I'm still on 'gigging musicians' hours. It's jet lag without the travel. But as the infamous "they" always say, if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger!

I'll update later in the week. Thanks again y'all.

    Kev.
