Question: Semi-hypothetical question...

If I was to buy a SUB1 and want to refinish it, would i be able to use a chemical stripper to get rid of the paint?

I ask because I'm currently refinishing an MIM Fender from '95, and I don't know what was in their poly at the time but the strongest aircraft-grade chem stripper from Home Depot just turned it from a gloss to a matte finish. Plus I've discovered the guitar was painted black, cleared over, and then painted red and cleared over AGAIN. I'm having to power-sand off something like 10 coats of poly. Ick.

I just wanna know what the SUB1 paint is like. That's all.
