That would be so cool if out of the supposed 4, Johnny Hiland and I both have one.
That one is somewhere in Europe. Has a matching headstock but pickups were changed. Only one I haven't found is the other maple necked one with piezo.

A class act and a tremendous talent. BP I would have to agree that the artist playing EBMM axes would truly be the Yankees of the music world and from this New Yorkers view you kind of remind me of the Boss.lol

I don't think that the JM thing worked out in the end. Unless I misinterpreted BP's comments a few posts back.

That's terrific. A testament to the soundness (pun intended) of the guitar and the company. Well done BP and EBMM!

Love my silos. Everyday I look forward to finishing work to get home and play them.

Talking tech talk, I wonder what it is about the Silo that attracted him. I mean besides the looks, feel and tone.... I mean, what made him choose the Silo over the other models. I know his PRS has a bridge pickup that can twang like a Tele, given the proper right hand technique....

Just a guess on my part - the 24 frets. His PRS Sig was a 24-fret model. Also, if I'm remembering the JH neck correctly from when I tried one out years ago (right after they were released) the neck is fairly close to a Silo neck in terms of width and taper (based on my experiences with Silo Specials).

The subtle nuances I mentioned in my eerlier post....

He had the bridge pickup on his JH model to sound like a Tele bridge pickup. How dos the Silo's bridge pickup sound in comparison?
