[QUOTE=daddystarbucks;699835]Hey Guys,
I know this is an impossible question to answer, but I'm about to spring ~2K for either a 25th Anniversary or an Axis SS.
I would go with the 25th anniversary.. but honestly you just need to try and play both

If you can get a 25th, do it. It has more tonal options. I think it's more comfortable. The chambering really does make the guitar feel alive (as others have said). That would be my suggestion. It's a great guitar.

Amazing!
simply amazing...
I dont own a 25th but have heard one and I really cant see you go wrong no matter which you pick.
Just an update on my guitar I bought this spring.
I never was able to completely get rid of the annoying fret buzz on the 6th string (5th also, just not as bad). I had some correspondence with a MF tech and also with an EB guy. Tried several different things without a really satisfying result. Took it to a reputable guitar shop in another, larger city than my own. They just shrugged their shoulders and tried to adjust the truss rod, etc.
Still buzzing.
Kept playing it (top strings fine, wonderful sounding guitar) and finally had had enough. Packed it up and sent it back to EB.
Apparently it had a bum neck (they did a fret job, nut/bridge, etc w/o improvement).
Making me a new one (neck, that is), ready in a month.
I'm guessing this is just some unusual, bad luck. I'm questioning myself for buying a guitar sight unseen. There is a GC several hours from home that carries MM stuff. I'm interested in a MM bass but think I'll pony up the sales tax this time.

Wow what a sweet looking guitar. Good score... grats!
