    Just pull it out, make sure you are not putting any weight on the trem or pulling it in any direction as this will make it harder to pull out and it can potentially damage it.
    So just pull it out vertically.
    Its a pop in trem, not a screw in like a strat.

    Spud , thank you so much for the video clip

    I have my JP6 since August 2009, and never removed the tremolo arm, cause I thought that you have to remove the back plate and there to find the screw that holds it.

    on MM site FAQ I could not find any information on this.

    PS: yesterday, after watching your clip I did that 10-11 times - hahah ...to be sure I will not forget how to do it - hahahaha
