So what we're saying is buy everything Morse has ever done. I can get behind that.

He is still my personal favourite guitarist, and for me it all had started with Deep Purple's "Live at the Olympia" from 1996. It just has some magic in there, I don't know why and how...

Of SMB I would start with "Southern Steel" or "Coast to Coast", Of Dixie Dregs I would obviously recommend "What if" .

Surprised no one has mentioned the cruise control DVD, sound was a bit messed up on the first release but the rerelease is Mega.

my pick would be the dixie dregs live album called bring 'em back alive! hard to find...but their cover of zep's kashmir and their own divided we stand are worth the price alone.

i've found a lot of folks seem to like the first things they've heard from steve the best...in my case Unsung Heroes...which would be my second choice.
