Gotta listen to Coast To Coast and Southern Steel, they rock, and twang, and are just great. Start there and you will be happy.

If I had to pick one Steve album it would be High Tension Wires. Ghost Wind is such an impressive piece of writing.

I like the tones on Out Standing in Their Field; that's heavy in my play-list rotation right now.

There are also some great clips of him solo and with Deep Purple on YouTube as well:

Have to agree. Those are the two I'd recommend to get started ... be prepared to be floored.

You can't go wrong with anything Steve has been involved with, but I agree with Izzy. High Tension Wires is a great place to start.

My two favorite songs are Vista Grande (Southern Steel) and On The Pipe (The Introduction)

Just start with any one album
The 4 I would reccommend to start with are

    Southern Steel
    Coast to Coast
    High Tension Wires
    The Introduction

    Thanks for asking

On the Pipe just slays! The one that first sucked me in was "Sleaze Factor" (Southern Steel). Where he gets going at the end of the break in the middle ... man, some of my favourite Morse playing there.

That reminds me. I've just picked up "Out Standing in Their Field." Gotta rip it to the hard drive and the iPod so I can take it on the road.
