Poll Time! Luke finish: Blue Dawn or Black Sparkle

    Here's the deal.

I'm pretty sure I've got it down to these two colors.

I have a line on a used Blue Dawn.

Or I can get a used Luke Blue and get it refinished in Black Sparkle.

Either way it will cost the same amount so price isn't an issue.

It's down to a choice so I'd like your vote.

Oh and if you have pics don't be ashamed to post 'em.

Thanks and let the fun begin.

If you have a chance to play both, pick the one with the most mojo and don't mess with it.If there's not much of a difference go with the blue dawn. It's the factory finish, and a discontinued one at that.Worst case if you have to sell it you'll make more on it than a refinished instrument.Refinishing,if not done properly and professionally can ruin an otherwise great guitar so go for feel, overall tone and vibe first over color IMHO.

If you're going to get it refinished, I'd go one step further and do a Silver/Black Burst Sparkle !

An unmolested guitar (i.e. the Blue Dawn) will hold it's value better though.

+1. I think a Silverburst Sparkle would be sick!

If it was an original black sparkle vs blue dawn, I would vote differently... But in this case, go the blue dawn for sure!

Had them both on a jp - black sparkle is a wonderful black colour, but blue dawn is just magic.
