EMG SLV X in LUKES?

I see new Lukather pickups for EMG are available (SLVX) Are these being used in current EBMM Luke models? If not, anybody tried them in comparison?


SLVX Set

Custom designed for Steve Lukather of Toto, the SLV's are similar to our SAV pickups but for Steve we added our special touch. The windings were increased for a meatier tone and we hid away the pole pieces for a more uniform look to the instrument. Steve has always played a specially overwound SA pickup, so we used the original preamp from the SA pickup with flat Alnico 5 pole pieces hidden under the cover cap. The SA preamp gives the SAV its classic EMG sound while the flat poles put the pickup closer to the strings for more output and a punchier attack. The X series provide increased headroom giving the voicing an organic and open tone while still maintaining the clarity and response that EMG's are renowned for. X's are best described as bridging the gap between passive and active tone.

Not that I've heard of...at least they're not listed on the website.They still show the 85 and the slv p/ups.
Wouldn't mind hearing some sound clips,though.

Luke said recently on another forum that he was using new EMGs
in his current main guitar (Gold finish, Rosewood neck)
and that "they would be making an upgrade"....
