I don't use reverb, I tend to have a short delay instead.

If you're going into a PA, you're usually better off adding it through the channel, rather than on the amp, as it can get a bit muddled, especially when the room ambients are taken into account.

this is what i've been debating-
i've looked at the TC NOVA Delay but now i'm thinking about just going with the Nova System... but my questions now are how much would going straight to the amp as opposed to the effects loop... as my amp does not have an effects loop.

I ran the Nova System into the front of my Rebel 20 even though it has an effects loop before I got the Rebel 30, and it sounded really really good which I was happy about because I wondered the same thing. With the Nova System if you run it in an effects loop anyway, it disables the drive circuit so you can't use the overdrive/distortion which with the Rebel 20 being one channel I had to run it in the front and just set the amp "clean" and got fantastic results.

thanks so much for the input... i'm running an ORANGE AD30HTC and i love everything about the amp... i've got a few pedals that are deciding to die on me... my compressor and my fuzz pedal died on me last week. So if i look to replace them i'm at the cost of the nova system... so i wasn't sure if it would be worth it.

Sure! You'll dig the Nova I think - I use it more than my G-System actually... NOT that there's ANYTHING wrong with the G-System mind you, it's just way more practical for the small gigs I do. Great amp too BTW love those... but anyway with the Nova you have all those expression capabilities also at your toetips - it opens up so many possibilities. I love it.

I've been thinking a lot about reverbs lately, thinking not only of the guitar but the mandolin too. The Line 6 Verbzilla looks interesting but I'll try the Behringer Reverb Machine first, which is a straight clone of the Verbzilla at a third of the price.

Andy Fuchs in his "Plush" line of pedals makes a little stompbox called the "Good Verbrations" that sounds just wonderful. Harder to find but worth the hunt!-Eric

    Cool Reverb pedals

i recommend either the Boss FDR-1 or FRV-1 as that is what i have on my pedalboard. i use both as they are great for other stuff

i have the Malekko Spring Chicken reverb pedal... I like it because it replicates a spring reverb on an amp. I don't like reverb pedals that have 3 or 4 knobs for setting parameters... I just wanted a pedal with a single knob like you do on amps, as my current amp has no reverb tank.

Works well for me and sounds great. need more reverb, turn up the knob! I've got a Boss Rv-5 reverb/delay pedal and i just don't like digital reverb.. so tricky to get the right sound.
