    Question Pedal Boards

I'm running out of room on my pedal board...ok...ran OUT of room on my pedal board. Anyone have any suggestions on bigger boards? I like the current one I have (Pedal Pad), but it's getting too small. I like it because I unhing the top half of the case, and all my pedals are mounted at an angel, and I can lift up that platform, and underneath is room for all my cables and a mounted power strip. The pitch and height of the pedal board goes great with my Mesa footswitch too - the angle matches from the back side of my Mesa footswitch, to the front of my pedal board and it's almost the same width as well - so it really works well! My current effects that I use are: Ernie Ball Volume pedal (not the junior!), Dunlop 535Q Wah, Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor, Digitech XMC Multi Chorus, Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner, MXR EVH Flange, MXR EVH Phaser, TC Electronics ND-1 Nova Delay, and a Morpheus Drop Tune. All fit on the board currently - except for the Drop Tune. I would also like some room for future items like a good compressor, maybe an acoustic sim, and my Rocktron Banshee Talk Box. I currently set my Mesa footswitch in front of my pedal board. Any suggestions? I'll post some pics of my current setup sometime soon here.

Look into Pedaltrain. They have several sizes. The PT Pro might be a good one for you.

Always a good question: I made my own pedal boards for years, also bought a few. As you know, you must ABSOLUTELY SURE that there a CERTAIN specs:

e.g., power supply compartment, power cord compartment, pedal attachment features, cable clearance over the "top" of the board, angled pedal platform?, rubber skids on bottom of board, etc. . . .

    have at it!

+1 on the Pedal Train. Great board, I love mine, the PT-Pro would be great for you. I love the fact that there's room to mount the power supply under the board, which allows for all cables and wires to be run down under the board, I also love the velcro thing, very easy to mount whatever pedal and change them around.

I use the PT Pro. I have the Voodoo Labs Pedal power 2 plus, with my pedals linked with George L cables and all strung through with a Pedal Snake.

    Best. Setup. Ever.

+1 on the Pedaltrain boards. Great boards at a decent price. Tons of room on the PT Pro.

I Got a custom pedalboard and case made by Anvil/Calzone. It was expensive, but worth it. All I have to do is take the cover off and I'm set. Plus, it's Full ATA. The usable space is 29" x 12" and works for me. It accommodates a VP Jr., my Mark V footswitch, a Pedal Power ISO-5, and about 5 or 6 regular sized stomp boxes.

You just need a sturdy metal frame board and perhaps a place to mount a power supply. Pedal boars are ALWAYS best kept simple. That's why I dig Pedaltrain.

The more features you add to it, the less likely it'll survive the test of time. Remember this thing is getting packed up, moved and stomped on all the time. Durability is king, therefore simplicity is king.
