your ibanez is probably better than the jp50. thats what happens when you compare the top of the line from one company to the bottom of another. my two favorite parts of the jp are the bridge and the neck. on the jp50 both are different

A prestige aint top line ibanez. Very few Ibanez guitars are made in Japan and prestige aint.

Its still made in a factory similar to the JP50 I expect.
Therefore workmanship won't be any better.

Although I doubt the JP50 will have a 6 inch thick plastic paintjob to hide the 200 million bits of wood the body is probably constructed from.

i know prestige isnt top of the line but the j-customs and the like are well past the point of diminishing returns and limited availability. the 2570 does have a nice neck and i believe its bridge is the edge pro to go along with dimarzio pups. im also 99% sure its made in the fugigen factory and they build great guitars there. imo that rg is closer to the jp6 than the jp50 is. if you want a budget ebmm the sub is where its at

umm...i guess so. i didnt even think about it that way. if i was on a budget the sub would be my first ebmm. i probalby would have liked the jp50 if i didnt have a jp6 and a sub. im not knocking the product but the sub is such a steal its hard to recommend something else at that price piont

Hi I am back, the 2570 is japan made, and its a great guitar, however i have to get a new bridge for it and new electronics thus me looking at the jp50.

Heck I should just shut up and test the jp50 first!

Most probaly I will get the jp50 and the cl lf pickups and save up to refurbish my rg and install some EVOS

What difference would rust make really?
Just replace the saddle and maybe at a push replace the anchor studs.
    Not a lot of money.

As for japanese does it definetly say it on it?

    However...... buy a Musicman anyway.
