I'd have to agree with the masses....grab a Super Sport and call it a day.

I know this thread is upsetting people but I got an ebanol nut for my Axis today. It fits perfectly with no routing. The shim is a bit wide but so was the nut on the Axis.

While I was changing the strings I removed the bridge. As I feared, the stud spacing is wider than standard trems, even the Super Sport. Where the standard trems have the studs over each 'e' string, the Floyd Rose has them on either side.

Oddly there is a hole in the center over the tremolo. It's covered by the bridge but anyone know what it's for?

This looks like it will fit the Floyd Rose studs:

    Vintage Tremolo () | Schaller-Electronic

So with this and the ebanol nut it can be done without routing or drilling. Completely reversible and everyone's happy.

    You win!

The Schaller bridge fits but because of the height of the humbucker it has to sit very high. The saddles are also forward so the intonation will not change. It's only a hair off but it can't be fixed without drilling. Which I won't do.

Luckily the whole thing is reversible. I'm putting it back to its original condition and selling it. I'll probably use the money to buy an ASS.
