Wow, can't believe you got it back to the Mystic colour so well!

Is it all ready for assembly then? No major issues?

Really good job Spud, will be awesome.

Hiya Sticky - there were some minor issues - like some break through into the base coat but they were at the edges by the jack plug - in my earlier thread I already knew about that.
Also on the edge by the bottom strap button and a very small area under the trem plate.

All in all I'm happy with the results. I have to buff the back and just polish the front a bit more. All by hand - no electric buffer used on my balls I can tell ya

When it was resprayed white, some overspray got onto the wiring - in the main I managed to scrape/clean that off however I did replace the wiring on the pot with the PCB.
I need to clean up the pots getting rid of all traces of old solder and use some switchcleaner.

I hope to get it back together by next Sunday.

Ok its not a 10/10 guitar - but it has been played a lot in it's relatively short life and I get a kick out of pulling something off like this.

It improves your guitar set up skills too!!

Just pretend you are kid again Spud and that it's an Airfix model.... we never needed instructions of where bits went then huh ??????????

Great project... I think the fun is the building more so than having a finished article.

After all that work did you realise you have a leftie there ? haha just joshing

Like you say, one hell of a way to gen up on the workings of a guitar
Might try it on my old Squier Showmaste as an education. Wouldn't dare dismantle the Morses... would leave that to an expert.

    Cheers

    Baz
