Piezo switch on John Petrucci EBMM

Does anyone else have issues when finger tapping on low strings of accidently hitting the piezo switch up and thus engaging the Piezo? Has anyone reversed the swich to prevent this?

I have bumped the toggle a few times while doing that and decided to adjust my technique - I now use my thumb as a guide along the edge of the neck and my right wrist and arm make a high arch.

The switch is "keyed" in the cavity (mounted to a plate) so it only fits in one direction. It may be possible to remove the toggle and plate and flip things around, but I don't recommend it.

Constantly, as I appear to swing my arm around whilst playing in a most un-Petrucci like way.

I only use non-piezo JPs now for this reason.

Constantly... drives me crazy. I don't hit it when practicing but hit it all the time playing live.

I am thinking about having a tech remove the toggle and cap it off

Never. I don't play well enough to have that problem.
