If you change string gauges it helps too, because you set it flat and lock it, change one string at a time and put the guitar in tune, then release the trem. If you're going up a gauge the trem will then stick up out of the body, so you tighten the springs in the back until the guitar is in tune and it should be flat.

    Works great!

    Cool guitar and great mods!
Thanks for the "review" mate, I appreciate that, now I'm looking forward to buy one and try it on my Luke!

To be honest, I dont see the purpose of having the trem-no on the LUKE unless it had a recessed bridge. But go for it and see how it turns out. My perfect solution for that is to have a hardtail and a trem guitar .

Well, my purpose is not having the money to buy another great guitar! And a little device is pretty much cheaper =)

I understand of course. But what is the reason for you installing the trem-no? You want to lock the bridge completely or what? because you can always tighten the trem claw and add springs. Unless you want to go from locked trem to floating on the fly?

Oh, and the Suhr pickups are pretty awesome! Highly recommended if you want to try something else at some point.

Well, I love the feeling of my floating tremolo with 2 springs, I don't want to renounce it, I'd like to use the tremol-no just to block the bridge now or then when I want to droptune or using alternate tunings. You surely know how impossible is doing it with a floating tremolo!

Exactly why I love my Y2D . I dont have to worry about setting up the trem claw or springs or anything if I want to go to D or Eb. But I definitely need a trem as well.
