EBMM JP6: tremolo arm hole problem - trem won't fit in!

    Hello,

i have a problem with tremolo bar hole in my JP6. There is a small element sticking out of one side of the hole which, I think, prevents the trem arm from fitting in the hole. Actually, the arm won't go deeper then 1/4 of an inch. It looks like the black element stops it. I haven't played this guitar for a while, but i remember that it have never been like that. The bar used to fit in pretty loosely, and now, now matter how hard I push, it won't. I have uploaded 2 pics and a video. I have circled the goddamn element in the pictures. I am no expert and have zero experience in repairing guitars so maybe it would be better if I gave it to a luthier? But on the other side I don't want to pay 100$ just for a couple moves with a screw driver, if it's that easy to fix. How does the hole look in your JPs? Any help would be great!

You can watch it in 720p to get more details!

There is a set screw on the block just behind where the bar goes in. Loosen it and you should be able to get the bar in. Why don't you have trem studs?

You mean the 1,5 hex screw? I already fiddled with that, didn't help. I even took that screw out and trem bar still won't go even a bit further. I don't have trem studs cause I had to unscrew them to get to the hex screw on the trem block.

You don't need to take the studs out to get to the screw you just need to dive the trem a bit. I'm thinking your messing with the wrong screw. It is the VERY tiny hex screw.

Yeah, I know taking the studs out wasn't necessary but I did it anyway to get a closer look at the whole trem block. The very tiny hex screw you're talking about is 'A' in the picture, right? So already took that screw out and it didn't help. So the tightening screw doesn't seem to be a problem.

Could you sir, or anybody else take a picture of the trem arm hole for me to see how the hole looks in your EBMM JPs and whether you that black element sticking out of one side of the hole as well? I'd greately appreciate this!
