Question: piezo and magnetic inputs

hey guys,
having just bought my EBMM, and without any manuals, i was wondering if someone could enlighten me.

what are the differences in sound between using a mono cable in piezo for both magnetic and piezo pickups, using a stereo cable in the magnetic for both, and using two separate monos. obv i understand that separating them will allow me to use the piezo in D.I etc....

the main reason i ask this is because i dont know if its worth me buying a stereo cable, as opposed to just using a mono in the piezo input.

ok, so is not worth me buying a stereo cable to use in the magnetic output instead of a mono in the piezo ?

Depends. I'd rather have one cable coming out of the guitar. But if you are running 2, it won't kill your tone.

I use one stereo cable because, like Lou, I prefer to have one cable coming from the guitar (less tangling, lighter). I use a splitter on my pedal board to send the piezo directly to the sound board.

I run the magnetic pickups toa tube amp and the piezo to a dedicated acoustic amp. Works great!!

my main wonder really was whether the piezo sounds better with a stereo cable or not.
i only have one amp, a mark 4. when i tried it through the mono into that, it didnt sound too good. i tried it with a fender amp when i was buying it, and it sounded nice

The piezo will sound awesome through a dedicated acoustic amp - it will also sound good when di'd into the pA.

You won't get to hear it's full capabilities thro a tube amp. However I once played the piezo through a cheapo tube amp and it sounded like Billy Gibbons on steroids!!

So that put's an AER out of the loop - take a look at Thomanns site - they seem to have cheapish Behringer acoustic amps.

yeah, i cant justify spending a lot on an acoustic amp when its purely for the piezo.

im staying away from behringer haha, bad experiences.

i was thinking a marshall acoustic amp, i forget the model but i think its their cheapest one. 282 quid on GAK.
