Yea, if I had the money I would have bought that one. That dark chocolate rosewood neck on that one is specifically awesome. It is advertised on there because they may still have some at other GC throughout the US. It is a limited GC model...you're lucky to have that one man! And I agree...10s are the way to go!

My thoughts exactly on the neck...I never thought about buying a Silho, but it just felt so sweet I was drooling and smiling after like 2 minutes of playing...and that doesn´t happen with every guitar

    My exact same feelings!

Kinda late reply but I saw you post about this somewhere else... I played that very same guitar back in August. Easily my favorite guitar in the store, even the other MMs (though the JPXI7 was cool too). Congratulations on such a beautiful guitar. If you ever decide to part with it (which I hope you don't), send me a PM . Try to do that in 10 years time when I have the money

Really pretty color! It looks incredible with that neck. Really.

How would you describe/eval the pickups? I am looking at a Silo Spec SSS (New) as well...(vs an AL SSS).

I love the PU´s on this one. They are very strat-like, with a very "sharp" sound, and with no humming/noise, which makes it great to play at loud volumes, with tons of gain and no unnecesary-nasty sound making all things messy.

Also, one of the features which is amazing is the way this guitar cleans up. I can be playing with a high amount of gain and drop the volume to 2, and it sounds like you´re playing with a clean amp.

Very very nice guitar, and the PU´s do the guitar justice in every sense of the word.

Congrats on the Silo Special ! I have one also that I bought in April 2000 from a pawn shop....that's right, I said PAWN SHOP ! That was my very first Ball. I've been addicted ever since.

There's nothing like a Silhouette Special loaded with 3 single coil DiMarzio pickups !!

    Enjoy my friend....
