You might want to adjust your low E string in that saddle. Check out how the string block is sticking out! It means when he put the screw back in its not in the string block slot, the block has a little hole where the screw goes into. Man this guy is completely incompetent in even a simple string change.

Yes. And, the action looks very high, it looks lime there's still a large shim in there, AND, is the bridge now floating? Did you want it to float?

Well, she's back to normal now- I just have sidelined the D Tuna. Taking it out tonight to the village for a show. Can't say he was happy about it, but I'm just glad to get that shim out, leaving the factory one in, and just getting it home.

Are you positive the neck is still shimmed? The action looks high indeed and the neck rather low in the pocket. It doesn't take much to raise it up through with a shim (thickness of a business card or similar). But does it play fine for you?

And yea that low E saddle block looks like a rush job. Oh techs.

the shim is gone, but the action was way too high - it's in very good hands now with Bill Baker over at dave's. Played fineat the show, though. Sounds great, got a ton compliments on the tone. . .

The action is high because the FR is tilted forward on the posts. It should be level with the body and in your case would lower the action somewhat. You still have it slightly floating (it appears).

I messed around with this exact same thing. When you put 2 shims (actually 3 because they already come with one in some cases) you need to put the bridge this high to get it to play right. I ended up taking the 2 shims out and putting it back to the way it was. Then I uses a pliers to loosen the fine tuner all the way which has given me a lot more room to play with.

I showed it to my tech and he suggested getting a tremolo block shim to raise the back of the floyd a bit. It goes under the tension plate. On the old Axis bridges this Tremolo block shim was slightly fatter, giving us the right height for the D-Tuna. I think I'm gonna order one of these and see how it works.

Hey man, Bill just put a d tuna on my solid gold axis tribute. It definitely is in good hands. I have no problems w mine. In fact he lowered the action for me. Plays like a dream. Good luck bro
