    History Lesson

    Hi all,

Does anyone know about the Al MM90 w/ all rosewood neck? Found some for sale online, but haven't found much information about them.
Production dates? Body wood? Any and all thoughts, insights, comments, musings, etc. will be appreciated.

    Regards

From the timestamp on my flickr set it looks like I received mine in April of 2009; so these were available to order somewhere in the end of 2008 to the early part of 2009.

At the time these were a special BFR run. Almost every MM instrument (guitar and bass) was available with a RW neck. All other specs were 100% stock. So, pretty much, its a stock AL MM90 w/ a rosewood neck

assMan- There was a limited run where you could order a RW neck on any instrument. So there are a few of different model MMs with RW necks kicking around.

    What a beautiful guitar!
I was able to find one thread, "Odd Albert", that mentioned these. It appears that the one I found is not a BFR, but instead a GC special (available in black or gold) with a rosewood neck and mahogany body. Does anyone know the production dates for this model? Did they fall in the '08-'09 window or sometime after? Is the body wood in fact mahogany, or is it ash?
This is a great guitar indeed, judging from the respondents on this thread. I'm really excited about the MM90 option with a r'wd neck. Would be really really excited about same with ash body... Keep those comments coming!
    Thanks,

They made some for GC dating back a couple years, a few still exist in the GC chain, was a black one at mine before Christmas havent been in awhile so not sure if it sold during the holidays. Headstock has a gold one he picked up at the Dallas International Guitar Festival from GC.

I called EB today and they confirmed that the GC r'wd necks have, in fact, ash bodies. I'd guess they give a little more snap than the mahogany torso.
