    Axis Concert Pictures

    Hey Guys,
my band just played a benefit concert for HIV in Ethiopia and our performance was extremely well received so I wanted to show you all some pictures (Try to ignore the ridiculous background). Also, the band consists of four people but the right side of the stage didn't feature any of our favorite guitars

Nice Ben. Nothing like actually using these babies live! Sounds like a great way to use your skills. Any footage?

Once somebody sends me a video i'll post it. It was fun to use the axis again live after neglecting it due to the JPX which has done 20+ shows now.

Question: What color do you guys think this guitar is? In person it is way more orange looking. I ask this because when I got it two years ago, I ordered a trans-gold but now I think I accidentally received a trans-orange.

Hmm, well I have a Trans Gold and it looks exactly the same color at a glance. I think the Trans Orange is quite orange.

Beautiful guitar mtrejo but the second picture is closer to what mine looks like in softer lighting.

I see. there is a bit of color change there but if you look at this, it might help. The Trans Orange from what I can tell is closer to the Red-ish.

Does it look like this? If so, then it's possible you indeed have a Trans Orange.

Trans Gold would my guess. Did you ask about the original colour in the serial number thread?

Thanks everyone. I'm beginning to think that it is trans gold but somehow ended up slightly off from the factory. I'm not concerned though because based on the other ones I've seen at guitar stores, mine looks pretty unique.

It sounded like a great night, playing for a great cause and the band being well received had to have you guys feeling-good! Before I read further down the posts, and before you mentioned it, I was going to ask you if you were playing two different guitars from the looks of pics 1-3 and 2. As stated you could run the serial number in the mentioned sticky to see how it is listed, but I like the finish and agree it is unique.

Here are a few from a concert my band played last Summer opening for Fog Hat and Blue Oyster Cult. It's hard to see, but I'm playing my Tobacco Sunburst Axis SS.

I have a trans-gold flame top that has a very similar color to yours. I have seen T-gold go from a very light yellowish color to an orange-ish yellow. If your guitar was trans-orange you would know it instantly. The GC by my house has one and it is unmistakably orange. Both colors are awesome though!!
