Question about Axis pups.

Here's what my ASS looks like now. I like the sound even better now.

To be fair I did not touch any pedal or eq settings so I could hear the differences in the pups. I will try to get a comparison video up this weekend.

It looks right too; I also have non-zebra pickups. Big fan of the look (Jamie Humphries influence).

That 'board looks dark, very nice.

Next stop, black switch tip? That may be too much, it does work with the binding as it is.

I thought about a black tip, but I still have the stock cream knobs. Just didnt like how hard it was to grab to pull up the tone pot. For my true coil splits. I may just order a push push pot and put the stock knobs back on.

Get a chrome colored tip. I did that on the Spaceball 3000

Where did you get yours? I also thought about that.

I got some playing time in last night with the new pups and they fit the bill for exactly what I was wanting. I was plugged straight into my Silverface Quad Reverb using a 20ft cable and it is fuller and warmer sounding. With the coils split I can get sounds very close to a Tele, with them in series I get Les Paul fullness and warmth, and withe them in parallel you would almost think it is a Strat.

Overall I am very pleased with the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker set.

If I can get my kids off of the Xbox and out of my man cave I will makes some sounds clips tonight doing a comparison.
