Big fan of the DiMarzio Area series here. The set with the 58-67-61 n-m-b arrangement is a great set, it can cover the ground you're looking for. The Suhrs get some love here, but I've never had any experience with them. Lollars and Lawrence get many mentions over on the Tele forum, where they take their single coils very seriously. The Areas get a lotta love over there, too.

My main experience with the Area series is with my '94 Jerry Donahue Custom Shop Tele (which has a strat-sized neck pup), where I needed to go noiseless for a project. I ended up with an Area T in the bridge, and an Area 58 in the neck. The Area 58 is now one of my all-time favorite neck pups based on that experience.
