Question: Will pickups with covers fit in the SM-Y2D pickguard?

Will they? Or is it specially-fitted for humbuckers without a cover? I want to replace the pickups and I think it would look cool to replace the regular purple pickups with chrome-covered pickups. I want to make sure they will fit before I order them. Otherwise, I'm gonna order the chrome tops option from Dimarzio. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm pretty sure the chrome covers will fit just fine. The only thing to keep in mind are the pickup tabs that could either be square or rectangular. The Y2D body accepts the triangular, so the tabs on any pickup that are square would have to be modified. I just swapped pickups on my Y2D with Suhrs, and I had to trim the square tabs for them to be able to fit.

And also, Joe Bonamasas Darklord Y2D ha chrome cover pickups . SO you should be good.
