    i had that with some other guitars too.. models that were sopposed to have straight grain maple end up with an oddball flamed necks... love it when it happens! a nice bonus!

    Hey Guys,
    I own this guitar and it was a display piece at the 2010 NAMM show...plays fantastic as do all EBMM guitars.

    The flamed maple necks are easily the rarest luck of the draw score. I have never seen one in person and the all time wickedest one is Sterlings Dargie Roller! Though Pete has a hell of a honey himself.

    This is proof that you have way too many guitars Mike! Take your 25th out her case and take a look at one of the sickest flamed maple necks out there!

    Yeah the Dargie Gold Rollers with flamed necks are ridiculous - I also have a flamed to death Blue Dawn JP (first run in 2001) and a 25th Anny over here with a sic flame neck and gorgeous quilt top. There might be more I am forgetting, but we have had some stunning necks come through!
