No regrets here. To me, selling a guitar is kind of like breaking up with a girlfriend: there's a reason why you parted ways. You don't always remember the "why" after a year or so but the reason was generally a good one.

I sold an amazing tele wayyy back in high school...just idiotic....but I was a kid, I suppose. I sold a Martin 000-28H a few years back, and all other acoustics are pretty much just Ok to me after that.....that guitar was special.

I've held on to my EBMM AL for just the reasons above....it's not my go-to, or my #1, or even gigged often at all....in fact, my main gigging guitar for the past 3 years is an unassuming American Standard tele with a Warmoth neck...... It's bulletproof, I don't love it, or even care about it...actually. I'd be happy hammering nails (or beating the brains out of drunk stage-crashers) with it....it's just a tool, like a hammer. But my Albert Lee is special. I'm old enough to know that it's a really well-made guitar....and I do not want to let it go....unless it's for another EBMM or a guitar of similar quality.

So, I'm trying to age "intelligently" and have fewer regrets....we'll see if it works.

I had an old 80's MIJ Epiphone Sheraton, fantastic guitar through and through, I let it go for silly money a few years ago.. Still kick myself over that one

I've posted about it so many times, sunburst EVH serial # 80850. If it is ever found I Will do anything to get it back. Miss it so much, I joined the forum to search for it.
