I saw him play it live. Unfortunately, he only broke the 25th out for one song, but the song was intended to be the signature moment of the concert. Then he put it away and went back to his usual stuff.

May I be so bold to ask you who is he?

Wow I am sure that has just made a lot of guys jealous! That is the hottest one I have seen, even better than the trans finished ones in my book.

John was playing his 25th/Reflex on the Battle Studies tour. After listening to the record a million times I could swear he played the 25th/Reflex on the recordings as well. Don't know though.

I like it, I would love to own one eventually. If I go into guitar center, it's the guitar I pickup to play first. It's on my list of guitar to get. Just not next on my list... maybe.... maybe it is.... I don't know.... it could be... stop interrogating me!!!

I have a 25th and it's become my number one. I love the fact that a lot of people don't know what it is but it certainly looks nice. Love the neck. The sustain at low gain is awesome. Probably the most incredible thing I like about it is how stable the tuning is. I swear this thing never goes out of tune. Easily my most stable guitar.

I have a few minor peeves but not enough to knock it off the number one spot.

I'm on guitar probation with the missus but if I was going to get another one I'd get another reflex...or maybe a silo...but that gamechanger looks very interesting...

Maybe a stupid *noob* question, but is the 25th a special edition of the Reflex guitar? Or is it the "normal" reflex you get in GC?

The 25th Anniversary was a special make guitar....essentially a BFR that became the Reflex. The 25th came in Venetian Red Color only, flame and quilt.....though the flame is clearly the better option!

I'm currently in the market for a new guitar as I downsize a little bit (8 guitars and 3 basses is probably a little excessive), and am looking for something that would be an upgrade from my Axis Super Sport. I've been really happy with the ASS since I bought it (new) five years ago, but I still find myself reaching for my other guitars when I don't want an in-your-face tone. Although I'm not looking for one guitar to replace all of the others, I would like one guitar that will do 95% of what I want.

If it helps, I'm 40 now and was a semi-professional musician through most of my 20's. I have plenty of disposable income and when I'm in between projects (like now) I enjoy spending my time composing, recording, and collaborating with others like me. I wouldn't plan on ever gigging with this "master" guitar in order to keep it pristine and cared for.

The Reflex and Game Changer seem to fit the bill perfectly, but if I'm buying something above $1,500 I also expect to have something that looks special and will look good on the rack or on the wall. As I get older, sure that's very important to me!

I find myself now looking in other directions, where a few years ago my money would have gone *instantly* to EBMM. The PRS Mira and 513 are starting to look good, Carvin has some beautiful tung-oiled options with neck-through bodies, and although I'm not really actively looking right now I do know that other builders have products that meet my wish list so I'm not searching for something that isn't out there.

I am hoping that the 2012 limited edition is some sort of classy non-sparkly burst, at which time I would jump in and order a Reflex or Game Changer on the spot (I want to learn more about the Game Changer first). Until then, I don't find the Reflex attractive enough to pull the trigger on.

I have some good ideas (beyond the above) as to why the Reflex isn't selling, but they really all circle back to the company that EBMM is trying to be and what Sterling Ball has in mind and I respect that. You can't be all things to all people.

    Thanks for listening!
