Quilted or Flame Top Super Sport

    Hi all,

Just wondering if you get a choice of having a quilted or flame top when you order a Super Sport hard tail from the factory or is it just a random luck of the draw?

I ordered a SS the other day but the supplier didn't ask me about this - then someone I know asked which one I went for!

There both nice but just wondered??

    Cheers

I believe when you order the guitar it comes Flamed as standard, Quilt would be a premium upgrade, (don't quote me but $250?).

I don't exactly have a preference for one vs. the other unless I'm actually holding the guitar. Some Flamed tops are insanely nice and vice versa. Either way, SCHWING!

I'm a tiger stripe man, FLAME all the way. But, some quilt colors do look naturally awesome on the Axi. Notably pacific blue burst and trans gold. Classic!

I do not remember how this works as there was a time when you could order a premium quilt top for an up charge. I believe it is just the luck of the draw these days but don't take that as Gospel. But if you look on GC's platinum site you will see an Axis with a wicked quilt or flame top for the same price.

Thanks for your help guys. I checked with the supplier and they said it will more than likely be a flamed top as the quilted top is mainly used on the BFR now apparently..Nevermind they are both great anyway
