Hello
I believe the only Axis SS that comes with an ash body is the Axis SS with MM90 pickups. I have one and it is very light (my Morse is the heaviest, the Axis the lightest one).

May the Morse be with you!
MM90 equipped Axis SS's will have ash bodies but every piece of wood is different. My two Sports have ash bodies that are fairly heavy, but had an original pinkburst AL and it was the lightest guitar I've ever played. They will vary.

ash is notorious for being inconsistent in weight. Tele experts will tell you that you can have 2 guitars of the exact same model, but the weight will vary.
My mm90 Ass that is ash, feels lighter than my HH Ass..............
