Help: Matching headstocks.

Seriously do not mess up the headstock by trying to refinish. If it is a deal breaker, I'd just wait until "little miss perfect" comes along.

The matching headstock was a dealbreaker for me (meaning I had to have it) and I'm super glad I did. Both of my Morse's have matching headstocks. IMHO its worth the extra $100 and the GC Platinum website always seems to have some available (which is where I got mine).

Yeah but I've found what appears to be a near mint Y2D for only 1300!! Can I get a morse Y2D with matching headstock for 1400?

Yeah I've been watching videos of morse playing a Y2D with a natural head stock. I'm not gonna lie. I dig it now more so natural then with a matching headstock. I told my fiancé about possibly buying it but then she told me if I just wait she'll buy me the stallion when it comes out! Any word on when it goes into mass production?

I prefer natural. But some of my EBMMs have matching headstocks. At the end of the day, it's the tone and playability that matter.

Count me in with a natty on my Y2D as well. Devin I know we both share a little OCD together lol, but I would not let that be a deal breaker, especially at that price and in that condition.

Devin I know its a big investment, and its good to make sure you get your moneys worth. I totally agree with that. But you're making music with it. My advice has always been: just play it. If you dig it, if it feels right, if the tone is what you're after is there. Snag it. Especially at that price. Sound. Is most important and aesthetics are secondary.

Devin, I would make a conservative guesstimate that 98% of the Morse guitars out there have a natural headstock because that is how Steve Morse gets his, and how most dealers order their stock Morse models. If you want matching you should order the guitar that way because finding one out in the wild will be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
