A new member with a couple of questions.

    hi guys! greets from croatia!
i've been lurking these forums for quite a long time, so i finally decided to register. i'm not a owner of any EBMM, yet... but i hope to be. at least till december 21. hehehe
anyway, i wanted to ask which other guitar, in you opinion, has the most similar neck to the silhouette. of course, it not being any other MM or Sterling.
and, also, has anyone ever tried to put a piezo switch on a silhouette? something like a JP model has.

and now for something ''completely different.''
i really appreciate everyone contributing to this forum in any possible way. and of course a big bow to BP and all other guys for making such damn fine products.

Hi Muffin Man and welcome on board.

I find that the necks on the Axis, Albert Lee and Silo are really quite similar as opposed to the neck on the Luke or JP 6.

If you are looking at fitting a piezo then Beej on the forum has done this.
You'll need the switch, Piezo saddles and Piezo preamp so a bit of wood routing will be required.

Let us know if you go ahead and do this in the future. If it was me, I'd get a guitar with a piezo factory installed - they are great !!!

Welcome to the forum MM and I feel the same way as Spud on the neck issue.

I reread his question and I think he may have been asking which other BRAND guitar (ie: not EBMM or Sterling) has a neck that is closest to a Silo. Not sure how to answer that one...

    Thanks Spud!
Mike nailed it. I was thinking of any other brand that has a neck similar to a Silo.
As for the piezo issue, I also thought of a Silo with a factory installed piezo. Did anyone tried to put a switch on it? Is that even possible?

Thanks! Funny you should ask that! It's been freezing cold these days. All across the country. I live in the south of Croatia, near the city of Split. Yesterday it was snowing like crazy! We get a bit of snow every 10 years or so, but this is really something else! Last time it was something like this was way back in 1969.

I took this photo from my bedroom window yesterday.

Yeah, that's right. I don't even know if it is a proper question. I mean discussing other brands on this forums...

Sure, you could easily put a switch in there to toggle between mag/piezos. Would just ground either, depending on what you didn't want to hear in a given switch position.

    Welcome to forums bro!
No other brand has the neck like EBMM-I`ve tried all F,G,I,P stuff (you know what I mean ) and landed with a Ball in my hands. So if you are looking for your first Ball then don`t look for other brands-waste of time and money-as you said in your first post, December 21st is not that far away !
Nice look from your window,man-what island is that-Brac???

    Thanks dude!
The first thing you see is the city of Split. It's a peninsula. Next thing behind it is Brac.
