I heard a rumor a few years back that the kid who played Mikey in that comercial was the bass player for Weezer....I did not then and do not now believe this to be true, just thought I would through it out there.

my old bass player from my high school band had something to do with Weezer. He wasn't the original bass player, but I think he might have played with them later or maybe he produced them. I dunno.. I do know that he was in a band called "Letters to Cleo" which enjoyed a little success in the early 90's.

His name is Scott Riebling, and he's making a name for himself as a producer in Boston these days (I think he went to Berklee). He was a great player even in high school. His older brother Eric plays, too.
