    About EBMM Petrucci's pickups

    Hello guys:

I know that the Petrucci signature guitar comes with Dimarzio but wich ones?

I want to buy the same pickups for another guitar and they don't sell the pickups that the EBMM Petrucci model has... They only come with the guitar...

Wich Dimarzio pickups will sound the same...?

    Thanks

According to the DiMarzio Web Site, the Air norton is the closest neck pickup and the Steve Special is the closest Bridge pickup. They also note the Air norton is closer to the EBMM pickup, but the Steve Special isn't so close, but it's the losest they sell.

Get a Tone Zone for the bridge and a Norton for the neck. Sounds ridiculous.

i talked to a rep from ebmm yesterday about it . i too, want petrucci pickups.

the rep said for the neck - air norton
for thr bridge - drop sonic (d sonic ) on the dimarzio website

this is words from the Music man tech him self

and yes the dimarzio web site said steves special

there are some things i have found intresting about petrucci models.

the petrucci model is an ibanez prestige , just built way better , well thats what john used to use

similar neck dimensions , wide and thin

if you look at the dimarzio web site about the petrucci model pickups for a 7 string . they recommend a blaze pickup for the bridge . which is the closest sounding.

now ive played alot of ibanezes being an ex ibz lover. the prestige pickups sound very similar to the petrucci . also ive played the jem7d (6 string w/ the black textured paint ) they have the breed pickups and if i am correct they also had a similar tone to the prestige and petrucci . look into it dont limit the possiblities . let me know also , im looking to change the sound of my silhouette .
