    Multiple guitar stands

Seems the perfect place to ask this question- a message board who's members who all have major GAS

I'd like to ditch all the individual guitar stands I've got lying around and buy some that will fit multiple guitars. E.g., the "RockStand" that muscian's friend has:

Anyone have a favourite brand? Ones to avoid?

Now if I could just find one with the EB logo on it ...

    beej,

My wife got me one of the Rockstand 3-guitar models for Christmas. I don't have any other multi-guitar stands to compare (just a bunch of singles), but I really like it. Every part of the stand that touches the guitar is padded, and the bottom part folds to make the whole thing lie flat for storage/transport.

I know that it's a lot better than the 'two-guitars-at-180-degrees' or 3-way 'triangular' types that make all the guitars fall out when one is removed (my bass player has some of those.)

Thanks Steve- that's exactly the sort of detail I'm looking for.

Is it durable? (Not planning to throw it out the window or anything, but will I knock it to pieces in a drunken stupor?)

If you're talking about for your home, I've got one of these and it's really nice. NOT portable, though.

I have a triple Hercules stand which is really cool, and sturdy. I like the way they grab the guitar neck.

I have the one from Musicians Friend, and it is just OK. There is nothing between the guitars to keep them from banging against one another. A great man once said "You gatta keep 'em separated" Ok it wasn't a great man it was Dexter from The Offspring.

Ya, that's a good point. Not so good for my application - I'd be likely to bash them up.

Deacon- that stand is waaay cool. I'd need to buy more guitars to fill it up

Thanks to everyone who chimed in. Ran into a new local music store and saw these:

So I think that's the one for me. Now if I can just limit my stock to 7 I'll be OK

Hold up now, I converted my 5 stand to accept 6 guitars...I simply pu one on the end and secured it with a velcroe strap and a velcroe holder...you want pics?

I would love to see a pic. I have the 5 stand but 6 guitars.

I was looking at updating to the 7 stand, but then the temptation to buy another guitar to fill it would be to great.

I'm 6'5" sleeping on the couch is getting too painful.
