In my silo I put in a Bill Lawrence L450 - matches the single coils I had in there perfectly and was balanced so the HB didn't overpower the singles. If I was going to do it again I'd get a Lawrence- L500L - the best rock pickup IMHO.

But it really depends what sound you're going for and what rig you have. Tons of options out there. Get something that matches your style.

I've always liked the Tom Anderson H2+ and H3's. Actually I'm looking for one to put in my Silo now. Also, I used to have a Silo with an HFS from PRS in the bridge, sounded killer! I've always played either Boogie or Soldano amps though so your mileage may vary...

I would just go active. I love EMG's. That is one of the reasons I chose a Luke. You could go with two SA's and an 89 in the bridge as this switches between single and double coil. The double mode is similar to an 85(luke) and single mode is like an SA. Just my opinion.
