    has anyone played one of the first silo's? do they have the same size neck...? and spec's as they do now? thanks..

    I have a 1987. Neck is much the same except no locking tuners - had a locking bar. Biggest difference is pickups. They were all Schallers. No hum canceling electronics.

    I've owned an 88, 90, 93, and 03 silhouette. Prefer the 87, only one I still have.

    Best sounding EB guitar I've ever owned is the Albert Lee with MM90's. I converted it to a 2 pickup model. WOW! those pickups have power that blasts even the humbuckers.

    dang i have a hard time with the body of the alee's, wish I could get past that... I'd love to play one just to see....
