SOme of the specialty guitars like the double neck and the baritone are really kind of fun especially when the usa baritone is a little expensive for how often you would use it but is great to own.

I bought an OLP used. It was one of the nicest playing guitars at it's price or 3 times it's price. When I had the chance to buy an EBMM Sub 1 used, I went for it with no hesitation.

Do I think the OLP matched the Sub 1 in performance? Well, no. I sold the OLP to a co-worker who was a beginning guitarist. I felt it was something that could easily blow away the Squiers out there and not even cost (used...to him) what a new Squier would cost. It was a no excuses guitar, indeed. The frets were not quite level...but acceptable. The pick guard didn't sit flat against the guitar. But it was well worth the price.

My OLP next to the Sub 1

I later bought an Axis Super Sport MM90 (the famous Spaceball 3000)

The ASS blows the Sub 1 out of the water. I would submit that unless you've got 2 guitars to compare side by side and play one, then the other, you cannot really fairly compare them. I put the Axis away to prevent dammage (I have kids and the kids have friends) and sometimes it's away for a few weeks. Every time I pull it back out and play, I'm blown away. It's sooooo much better than any of my other 6 or 7 guitars.

*FOR THE MONEY* the OLP is a great guitar. Excluding the cost......there is no comparison. None.

Oh....and on the Floyd? I've played an Axis down at Beller's with Pete Dubaldo and came home and played my Floyd equip'd Jackson. Again, no comparison. The Axis Floyd is the absolute nicest I've ever played. Better than any Jackson, better than a Wolfgang. A whole different league.

    Ok....my rant is over..........(maybe)
