Umm, wasn't that a blues tune? If it wasn't it should have been, will be...

Yes....a more talented bunch of lyricists, there's never been

I actually was expecting to hear from some Albert Lee owners.....kind of figured that the AL was a guitar that lent itself well to the blues (I'm pretty sure I've seen the AL described on this board as what a strat wishes it was), so I thought there'd be some AL owners cranking out the SRV........no??

Yeah most of my playing is in the blues / southern / classic rock genre that I started with years ago. I was away for a long time and liked the overall AL sound and feel over the Teles I was headed for on my way back (and the G&L which I didn't get to play until after I took the plunge). Maybe even some country blues pickin as well. Think Danny Gatton (don't think of me playing Danny Gatton though - that will give you the blues)

It can get tele spanky or strat smooth and chimey and with the MM90s can growl a bit too. SRV can be done - just put on heavy strings, play hard and floor it. Floor it, I believe he considered that a technical term.

I have an AL, but I'm not much of a blues player. Not really sure what to call it.

I jammed with a really talented keyboard player last week. She played classical and jazz improv. She referred to my playing as "hypnotic".

Which could've just been a polite way of saying BORING.

    Got it in one K
Actually your playing is quite depressing so it could be considered a ForM of the blues.

I don't play guitar like Keith for one reason:
    I CAN'T
