Question Who here is primarily a blues player??

I'm sitting here learning the solo to Eric Clapton's version of I'm Tore Down from his From the Cradle album (what a great album) and it occurs to me that I'm probably not the only blues player playing an EBMM (I play a SUB 1 through a Hot Rod Deluxe).....so I'm wondering who else out there is a blues brother (no, not the Jake and Elwood kind), but someone who uses his EBMM guitar mostly for blues playing.....just wondering.....so who's playing the blues and what kind of EBMM guitar are you playing it with??? C'mon bluesmen, stand up and be counted!

Although I don't exclusively play the blues, I do consider myself more of a bluesy player...and evn though I venture out and attempt other styles, the blues influence can be heard...I try and play how I feel, but there are times when that feeling is just to powerful, that being the good old bluesy feeling. I have two SUB 1's that I lean on regularily for the blues, however since I got my new EBMM JP7, that's really all I've been playing...but I still use it for the blues...ah yes I call it the Low B Blues

I started out with rock and eventually moved into neo-classical and progressive styles. And then I became friends with a guy that was an exceptionally gifted blues guitarist. I sat in with his band on several occasions and really began to appreciate blues. It really gave me an opportunity to become more well rounded as a player. Now, and forever more, I play praise and worship music. I still listen to my influences i.e. Vinne Moore and John Petrucci, and I'm still in awe of their awesome techinque, but you might say I got my current gig from a higher power.

Cool "blues bros.!?"....they still owe you money, fool!"

i come from baton rouge , La.. most of us here consider BR to be quite a mecca of the blues. to be truthin', i got kinda bored with it, cuz i hear it sooooo much....but i still find myself draggin' up those ol' licks whenever my fingers and my brain aren't communicatin'.

i play it on a EBMM AXIS SUPER SPORT PIEZO..........and it's BLUE..........bought it at a pawnshop.............and you know the sayin'........"if it ain't been in a pawnshop, it cain't play no blues!"

We all play the blues - whether we mean to or not. I've never seen a guitar player who didn't play blues. Anytime you bend a string and make the amp whine or scream the blues just comes out.

After producing my buddy's bluesy record and doing a few solos I can safely say that my Pet 7 can definitely play the blues, and a lot better than I.

    Agreed!
It would be hard not to.
We all use the basic power chords.

I'm a middle-class, suburban guy with a Volvo, a good woman and all my teeth, and I never did time for shooting a man in Memphis.

I didn't think I was allowed to play the blues

    But I still do
