I'm gonna bet on this, even though most of us were massively shocked when the Bongo 6 came into frutition.
So I say not a chance of a SR6 in 34" scale:D

The 6 seemed like a natural extension for the Bongo. A brand new platform to experiment with. I don't have the same feeling for the SR. A lot of tradition behind the design.

Then again, it is always hard to predict what BP and company have planned.

I seem to remember when the party line was "No 6 string basses, get over it."

Glad to see companies are flexible as times (and endorsed musicians) change. :D

The problem is that the market is sooooooooo small for six string basses and if that cahnges we would of course consider expanding our efforts there

And I think that may actually happen, mostly because younger players aren't too much set in their ways. But also because I got around splendidly on the Bongo 6 I played in London, after a while it felt just like home, but with even less position shifting:)
