Instead of a lot of people asking when guitars were made, why isn't there a post, or a page on the website, where it is explained how to figure what year a guitar was made.
It is my understanding that there is no system to the serial numbers they use, and that is why we have to ask here. They use some sort of random number generator, and have to look it up in their database to get the build date.
I am not sure why, but I suspect this might make it harder to counterfeit serial numbers.
