Hey guys,

I got a trade deal to a bass what is a little bit unknown for me.

Do you know it? How much have been built from this instruments? It's made from ash? Any special feature?

What is the value of this kind of Stingray?

thank you a lot!

The 20th anniversary 4-string is one of my favorites. First Musicman I bought new when I worked at a music store here in Stockholm back in -96. I can be very wrong here but I have a feeling that this might be the first anniversary model that EB produced. If I don´t recall things wrong it has a ash body under the bookmatched figured maple top. I´ve seen them with both rosewood and maple boards. Birds eye maple necks. I have two 20th Anni 4-strings. Love them. I´ve tried several others and all of them have been just amazing. Every 20th Stingray I´ve tried has been rather light weight. I think around 2.000 or 2.100 instruments where made. Around there somewhere. I played one of mine earlier today. Just amazing instrument.

Very hard to say how much one should pay for a 20th Anni. Depends on condition and it differs from country to country and you are in Hungary..... I´ve seen one for sale here in Sweden one year ago about and it was sold for 1.500 us dollars. Worth more I would say for the right buyer. But they don´t pop up very often and it all depends on how fast the seller wants to sell and who the buyer is. Sometimes instruments gets sold for lots of money just because two or three people starts to bid on a instrument they all want very bad but that might not have happened if the bass was put up for sale a couple of weeks later. Hard to say but a educated guess..... Between 1.500 and 2.000 us dollar. At least here in Sweden today. Somewhere around there.....

But lovely instruments. One of my favorite Stingrays models. I´ve done nearly 800 gigs with my first one and it still looks like new.

Hope I´ve provided you with some info that will help you. Hard to speculate when it comes to value/price. It depends much on country and other things.

All the best.

Hi everybody, does anyone know if this beautiful beast came with a flight case?

I've recently found one but it's provided with a (apparently original) soft case

Thanx for the answers

Cheers

I've had a quick look back at pictures of some of the basses I've had and it came with a kind of beige/cream hard case with red interior - this is the best pic I could find
