The previous owner of my Axis added a middle p/u and a pickguard, so it must be pretty rare! I've never seen another Axis like this.

I really like the darker necks on the EVH's. Just so very cool. They're not roasted are they?
Here's my Axis... don't have a lot of light in my apartment, but I tried.

the evh necks are not roasted, they are just aged throught the time.
just remember, the evh guitars are 20 - 25 years old. maple gets darker by the time.

Greg, that bfr neptune axis( probably only one in existance!) ive never seen another in a NGD post. And ill say it again, with that top, the roasted neck, and the super figured neck, i think it may be the finest axis that ebmm ever rolled out the door..... So far anyways. You must be so happy to know that you have the nicest axis on planet earth.

I guess I have something to look forward to. :)

I remember the EVH ads in my Guitar World's back in the day, I guess I've forgotten how long it's been!!

My first Axis just turned 18 in December. It goes by so fast...oh, and the neck has that roasted color thing happening. Makes it hard to look as a new maple neck all clean and "bleached white" looking... lol

On a side note I should really post some pics on here!
