How hard will it be to find an Albert Lee with an ebony fretboard?
The new starry nights have the ebony fingerboard which look great, but I'm hoping to find one in a more traditional coloured/natural body scheme.

Is there no love for the ebony boards?, Just wondering why they aren't more in demand or readily available.

The Ebony was only offered twice, Black Sugar BFR run and the Starry Night PDN run.

it's not something they normally offer so it makes them a little bit more special. I like the offering, wasn't sure at first, but I'm now.

I have the Black Sugar and love the combination of ebony, roasted maple and black sugar sparkle.

Hope this helps, Glenn |B)

Thanks for that Glenn, yes, that helps.
Googled it and the black sugar bfr's do look great.
I'll keep an eye out for one, hopefully I'll get lucky.
Regards.

Yah if you can score one of those you won't be disappointed at all.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

I don't understand why people won't sell internationally - I'm sure it's laziness. As long as the buyer pays the shipping and insurance and uses a protected payment method what's the problem

It was over the going rate for an AL before, and it's gone up 400 bucks. Wowza!
I'd jump on a Piezo-equipped AL but not this one :(

I mentioned to him that I'd posted here, so he may have seen this thread.
I agree, add to that the cost of delivery tax and vat, it's way beyond what I'd now be willing to pay. I'd guess around £2,500. They're many guitars I'd be interested at that price range.

Not sure about the cracks. might be worth showing to a guitar tech
Thanks Trapper, I'm passing on this, he's non negotiable on price also, wanting more than new list price. I'd rather a new pdn starry night.
