Hi guys,

On my new Cutlass the plastic tip on the pickup selector switch is very loose, to the point of falling off all the time.

How do you recommend I fix this? I thought about simply using a bit of glue, but I guess I might at some point in the future want it to come off again, if I have to remove the pick guard.

But yeah, any ideas? ;)

Cheers,
Kasper

Hello

Put some glue. If you want to remove it, it's easy : with a solder iron, just heat (a bit) the metallic part of the selector and the glue will melt.

Good luck

Little dab of silicone worked for me. Also used a sliver of tape around the switch then slid on the plastic tip. Lots of options.

There is also an old thread where someone with an Albert Lee (black) changed out the plastic tip for a 24 carrot gold tip - that seems to solve the problem.

Thanks!

My wife vetoed the gold tip solution (women!), so I guess I'll have to settle for one of the many second-best options you guys have suggested :)
