There's the stunning 20th Anniversary SR4 (would like to own one), the red 30th anniversary SR4, the gorgeous 30th anniversary SR5. But, afaik there's no anniversary Sterling bass. Sure, I've seen some jaw-dropping BFR Sterlings but never an anniversary model. Next year the Sterling bass turns 25 years. So is there any chance of a Sterling 25th anniversary bass Big Poppa? You got something cookin'?

My very first EBMM bass was a Sterling 4H in natural finish that was just clear coated. That bass played and sounded really good. I actually wish that I still had it. If EBMM did do a 25th Anniversary Sterling, that would be sweet. I remember seeing them at Guitar Center in San Diego, when they first came out. That GC was huge and had 2 stories. On the showroom floor was probably a dozen or so Stingrays and Sterlings. I remember looking at them and playing them but thinking there was no way I would ever be able to afford a bass like an EBMM. (Thank goodness I was wrong about that.)

If EBMM does release one, we probably won't hear about it until winter NAMM. I do wish we sometimes had more notice though so someone like me can either put money aside earlier or sell some gear before the order window closes. But if they do end up making an Anniversary Sterling, my guess is it will be available for order for 1 year as opposed to the PDN orders that only have a 1 month ordering window.

STOP MAKING ME FEEL OLD!!!!

I was studying with a certain long-time EBMM endorser at the time. I remember sitting in his apartment in NJ and one day he didn't have the bass he usually played and instead had this funny-looking Stingray-ish bass, which now I know was a very early model Sterling.

Can't believe it's been 25 years since then.

It would be awesome if this potential model got the 30th Anniversary SR5 preamp too ;-). Let the wish list begin :)

I love this idea! My Sterling 5H is still my main player and probably will be for years to come.

Guess I have a 25th anniversary Sterling already. My Sterling Hp is sterling silver.

If they make one, and its green, I'm pretty much required to buy it.

Would be the 25th anniversary of when I got my first bass, it would be a sign.

OOooohhoooohhooooh 5 knobs SR ! ooooohh I'm wet !

Have a powder blue HH unlined fretless on order. Planning to switch necks. Love matching headstocks... except for switching necks. Can make it difficult to color match. At least sterling silver is a somewhat neutral color and think it might go with the light blue. If not, no biggie. Piezo fretless will be worth it. Have not even seen an unlined piezo Sterling available since I have been looking. Besides, had been wanting an HH so win win.

So no one's thinking about the Anniversary Big Al?

Heh that would be awesome!

More so than a Sterling.

But think the odds of that would be 0,

Also think the odds for a Sterling anniversary is low. But hope I am surprised.
