Axis pick up thin sounding????

HI, I have just got back into playing after a few years off. My Axis (made in 2005) really seems to sound thin in the bridge pickup for some reason in multiple amps.
That is the best explanation that I can give since it plays like a dream still.
Is there a way for me to check the pickup somehow to see if that is the issue?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks...Still love the Axis all these years later

You might try adding a piece of foam under the pickup to raise it a bit more towards the strings.

My guess is that a wire because disconnected in the wiring. Is it the same sounding in all three positions?
